'Do You Know The Truth' is the first release on Jalapeno by Fife beatsmith Flash Callahan. Flash (or William Stark as he's known to his friends)
is the latest dance music sensation to emerge from north of the border, with his organic breakbeat-fuelled electronica and funk threatening to
send him into the Scottish superleague currently home to the likes of Mylo and Calvin Harris.
William started recording his Flash Callahan material in 2004 after a bout of ME had put paid to his previous life touring with Scottish band Babacool.
'I had spent a lot of time gigging in Scotland for quite big crowds, sometimes up to 4000 people at festivals, but although there was a lot of label
interest in us at the time it just seemed to slip through our fingers'. A familiar story to aspiring musicians but his passion for music kept Willie moving
forward and after his time with Babacool came to an end he concentrated on writing music for himself to play out live and DJ with, as well as running
the twice yearly Spectrum Festival in Edinburgh, which in itself can be a full time job.
