First things first: any release that opens with the peerless slow mo disco stylings of Fern Kinney's "Baby Let Me Kiss You" gets the Juno stamp of approval. In this case, we're pleased to report that the latest Disco Discharge mix maintains the high standards set by such an auspicious opening. Following on from editions such as Disco Boogie, European Connection and Diggin' Deeper, the Harmless imprint unleashes the Disco Fever USA volume, which, as the title suggests, hones in on some classic American disco action over two CDs, with Earth Wind & Fire, Linda Clifford, Gloria Gaynor and the late, great Teddy Pendergrass all featuring. Bonus points too for including "Like An Eagle" by former, erm, actor Dennis Parker, a track skilfully sampled by Linkwood and House Of Traps back in 2009. And all you DJs take note - this is totally unmixed, thus allowing you to instantly add a treasure trove of disco joints to your arsenal. Top release!
