UK imprint Black Acre have remained religiously consistent in their allegiance to bass, stepped and off kilter electronic music styles. Primitive World is the latest mysterious act to drop a 12" for the label and present their Danceteria EP. The title track "Danceteria" is powered by a horror rave bass, backed by biting hi-hats while "Run Interference" lingers back into familiar lo-fi Black Acre territory, with shady blips, tremolo-effected horns and dusty vinyl pops. "Cotopaxi" is a little more techno with its linear groove, skippy 909 hats, mimicking electronic shots and smudged dubby chords. If you were a fan of Blue Daisy's 2009 Strings Detached EP, Primitive World's 2012 Danceteria is for you.
