Beantown beats from the infamous Bon.Johnson (aka DJ Bons and Matt Johnson) on this slick release from Jake Childs' Uniform label. Some real heavy duty 80's disco funk meets snappy house grooves on the A-side original - hypnotic percussion laid over with some funked out synth work, Cameo-styled basslines and vocoded vocal samples. Slamming, sizzling club grooves here. Flip for the remixes, with Island 9 turning in a nasty buzzing bass re-rub, and Trademarq (.dotbleep) going for the gritty and chunky No Assembly-styled beatdown. Definitely a player for the Dirtybird, DJ Heather and Sneak heads.
