For those who don't know, Historia Y Violencia is a force to be reckoned with...The Los Angeles label has seen releases from Silent Servant, Truncate and even John Tejada, but the likes of Raiz aka Vidal and Vangelis Vargas have also contributed to its healthy development. Their second EP for the imprint, Curandero opens with a pumping kick drum and evolves into a meandering techno stomper filled to the brim with gnarly percussion delays and mesmerising melodies. On the B-Side, the duo give us "Sabio", yet another relentless groove centred around luscious effects and mutating bass lines. Handle with extreme care: these grooves will guarantee some ass-shaking!
