Adam Freeland's globetrotting band gets the bearded disco treatment, with Prins Thomas and San Fran types DJ Garth & Anthony Mansfield providing suitably hirsute reworks. It's the latter who impress most, channelling the ghosts of 80s industrial funkateers Cabaret Voltaire and Chakk for a heavily electronic re-cut of "Silent Speaking". It sounds like it was made in Sheffield rather than San Francisco, but that's no bad thing. Back on the A, Prins Thomas does his usual bang-up job, turning "Morning Sun" into a kraut-disco epic full of live drums, dubbed-out vocals and soaring strings. It's not so much 'cosmic' and 'scandolearic'.
