Japanese 'tablist DJ Kentaro returns to the Ninja Tune for his second album, and whereas his first set Enter was largely based around the sort of frenetic drum and bass that tickled the fancy of festival goers, Contrast is largely rooted in dubstep. Of course, it's still full on - meaning it throbs, wobbles and pulses in all the right places - but the pace is nowhere near as hectic as its predecessor. It's certainly fun, though, and he's certainly not abandoned jungle altogether; in fact, some of the album's more memorable moments ( see Matrix and Futurebound collaboration "North East, South West") are pure D&B rollers. With a string of big name guests along for the ride (Foreign Beggars, D Styles, Kid Koala etc), there's plenty for fans to enjoy.
