Norwegian producer Skatebard has been working away for over a decade on his own electro-flecked sound, with prime releases on Sex Tags Mania and his own Digitalo Enterprises imprint. This latest offering is for Untz Untz, and sees Bard Aasen Lodemel working a monster bass synth to devastating effect as he contorts it through all manner of filtering. The real joy is in the beat though, as it effortlessly bumps along with excellent snare fills and a gentle swing to make for a sturdy floor smasher. The Knights Of Jumungus opt for a much smoother trajectory on their remix, paring that bass into a streamlined punch while the rhythm becomes a rolling, tribal kind of percussion.
