Having at one time been a prolific purveyor of tongue-in-cheek synth sleaze, France's Sebastien Tellier has been off the radar since the release of his Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo produced Sexuality album in 2008. Cochon Ville is the lead single from comeback LP My God Is Blue, and while it might not scale the heights achieved of Tellier's string laden 2005 anthem "La Ritournelle" (let's face it, that would be hard for anyone to replicate) it is a pretty stellar track - all thick electrofuk synths, D-Train squiggles and whispered vocal sleaze. There's also a cast of strong remixes attached, with ex Aeroplane type The Magician offering a Bobby O-goes-acid house interpretation, Dimitri From Paris adding extra disco beef on his cowbell-laden effort and Louis Brodinski taking it to the big room.
