    Review

Since his return at the tail end of the noughties, original French synth disco experimentalist Bernard Fevre has seen his stock rise considerably. Perhaps it's little surprise, then, that his latest album takes the form of an all-star collaborations project. With a cast list that includes Nancy Sinatra, Afrika Bambaata, new school DFA types Yacht, bluesman Jon Spencer and hyped indie-pop chanteuse Cockandbullkid, the album's title, Circus, is certainly apt! This is a razor-sharp electronic disco cabaret with Fevre cast as ringmaster, teeing up artists of all shapes and sizes with all the glee of a toddler on a sugar high. While disco geeks may frown, Fevre pulls it off - something few producers could do.
