Arriving out of nowhere, the mysterious Dense & Pika got widespread props with their debut 12" - with "Vomee" even appearing on a recent Sven Vath mix CD. A second twelve arrives with no more clues as their identity (though rumours abound of Planet E involvement). Look past the title, as "Buttplug" is an immense tape saturated techno track, all off kilter garage kicks rippling with kinetic energy and complemented by a smart vocal turn that twisted in places to help mould the rhythm. It's the sort of anonymous thumper you have probably heard 30 secs of on Rinse FM three months ago and wondered what it was ever since.
