Black Merlin's appearance with "Brunswick Drive" suggests there could be very exciting things to come from Spectral Empire producer George Thompson. With that favourable John Carpenter tension applied to a smacked out groove that slurs between post-punk, industrial and disco, a truly enchanting and downright brilliant jam is born. Scott Fraser gets busy on the remix and ups the drums, bringing a separate but equally inspired approach to weird disco abstractions.
