Bribe Em With Candy marks a masterful ivory heavy debut on Ripperton's Perspectiv imprint for Eve White aka German duo Motec and Daniel Gelbe. "Sugarbabe" is an exqusitive start, with warm buttery melodic tones the perfect accompaniment for chord washes rich in emotive texture - all laid over infectiously rasping kicks and snares. The "Sugardub" tones down the percussive excesses to focus on imbuing the textures with subterranean psychedelia. On the flip "Anything Goes" opts for the more atmospheric approach, building slyly into glistening late night throb characterised by smooth Rhodes and piano that tingles down your spine. The soft acid bubbles that rise out of "Feel Better" make for an accomplished end to an excellent release from all involved.
