TVMR (The Virgo Mechanically Replayed) is the band project of Jon Dasilva. Having DJ'd for years and graced the decks of establishments such as the Hacienda, he is now having fun exchanging the decks for guitars on 'Bowie In The Bronx'.
Not that TVMR aren't dance, as this single proves, they meld Mantronix-like basslines with feedback, 707 drum machine and ahem...Bowie. On remix duty Perspex have drafted in Shinichi Osawa, one of Japan's biggest artist's and pioneering DJ. From his days as leader of Mondo Grosso, to his current guise as one of Kitsune's main players, he's remixed everyone from Digitalism to Soulwax. For this remix Shin throws down a sweeping modulated synth groove in a similar fashion to his recent huge mix of Felix Da Housecat's 'Radio'. A huge, insane floor-burner that will melt shoes and brains a like.
