Norwegian producer Boska graduates from the 10" format by presenting a fully-fledged 12" for Studio Barnhus. It's his debut EP for the Swedish label after last year's split release with Petter Nordkvist, and here he presents a collage of dreamy house, abstract synth designs and new age melodies. A soft, dubby swagger of "Higg" sweetly sounds off on every second beat of the track while bass tones in the background appear and disappear like cheeky pranksters. "High Heels" is all about the chimes and post-dubsteppy drum patterns, while "Braids" sounds like a grungy Timothy J. Fairplay production. There's even hip hop beats, R&B vocals and new age pads on "Scent". A record for the summer months no doubt!
