The last release from Token saw the Belgian label flirt with notions of hype by enlisting Blawan to remix Inigo Kennedy, though the decidedly brutal results demonstrated that the Hessle/R&S artist revels at the opportunity to burrow even further down the techno rabbit hole. No such concessions to fashion are made on the latest Token release which sees the label mainstay Phase at the helm for two typically fierce and unrelenting productions. Essentially presented as two "Processes" of the same "Binary Opposition" track, Phase demonstrates his unerring talent for crafting deeply effective techno filled with detailed and wall shaking drum programming and subtle yet devastatingly effective rhythms. A perfect way for Token to celebrate the milestone of twenty releases!
