Claremont 56's idiosyncratic mission statement of finding the balearic edge where others dare not look is exemplified perfectly on this classy 12 inch which sees Mudd and the Idjut Boys deconstruct Ireland's least obvious candidate for good dental hygiene. Label boss Mudd opts for a typically lackadaisical rework with the lolloping groove arising out of liquid SFX and building towards the arrival of a sublime guitar riff that frames the track. The B Side counterpart from The Idjut Boys naturally opts for the more cavernous approach, lending the orchestral elements a certain haunting quality whilst they remain. The midway point which signals a descent into a heavily dubbed percussive interlude will delight fans of the Idjuts.
