Not content with some fine original material for esteemed French imprints such as Tigersushi, Get the Curse and I'm A Cliche, the mysterious Crackboy allows us a peek into his arsenal of edits with two incendiary reworks here. Prince's soundtrack to Tim Burton's Batman is considered a masterpiece of the genre, and one of its jams gets the Crackboy treatment on "Back To The Future". The Purple one's distinctive funk is retained but Crackboy realigns it to a snapping house mainframe that jerks with dancefloor energy, making the track every bit as good as Peter Black's seminal reworking of "Controversy". On the flip, Sueno Latino's self titled balearic classic gets fattened up on "Ebeneezer Knight" with the familiar Gottsching sampling tones likely to get the elder statesmen of the rave all misty eyed. Tres bon Crackboy!
