Fabric reach for the big guns once again as UK techno pioneer Baby Ford steps up to deliver no 85 in the club's long running mix series. Laid down in one take at Baby Ford's studio using a rotary mixer and a pile of wax, it offers a thrilling balance between overlooked classic material, his own productions, and slept-on contemporary fare. Beginning with his minimalist hook-up with The Ifach Collective, "Carpet", the mix smoothly builds via the bumpin' house of Derrick Carter, the tactile old school New York deep house of Pal Joey, and the heavily compressed techno bump of Alex Celler's "Haz". Happily, he finishes on a high, dropping one of his own previously unreleased productions, the excellent "NYO15".
