Sasse and Ewan Pearson chose wisely in entrusting the debut release on their recently launched Machinist label to Markus Enochson. The producer from Stockholm has a rich pedigree when it comes to lo fi machine funk - just check his discogs entry if you aren't familiar - and his three track 12" will hopefully set the standards for which Machinists look to maintain. Lead track "Boohoo" sets the tone, with stripped back rhythms creeping in the background allowing the bubbling tones to occasionally threaten all out chaos, whilst "Boy" implements a more prominent percussive snap whilst brittle textures and delicate vocal harmonies tease out the ensuing warehouse grind! "Bad Choice" sees Enochson utilises the entire B Side for a suitably epic rumble through industrial strength jackhammer disco-techno.
