The Anglo Germanic rulers of peak time clubbing known individually as Erol and Alex revisit one of their most lysergic collaborations, "Avalanche". Enlisting the distinctive, velvety tones of Jarvis Cocker, they look to Leonard Cohen for inspiration with the Pulp front man reciting the lyrics from the iconic songsmith's track of the same name over the Alkan & Ridha production. Thrillingly, Phantasy have elected to split remix duties for the track between the old guard and the new - with Ewan Pearson and Canblaster both excelling. Pearson's Deeper Underground re-version is worthy of the sweat filled Berlin basements the producer no doubt spends the weekends he's not gigging in, whilst the accompanying remix from Club Cheval's resident Legowelt lookalike is every bit as demented and intricately layered as the original Canblaster material that has surfaced to date. Nice white vinyl and PVC sleeve too!
