The mysterious New Yorker Chasing Voices emerges with the first propulsive emissions of 2011 after two excellent and highly sought after twelves on the Preserved Instincts imprint last year. It's possible to place the Chasing Voices sound amidst the recent knackered house endeavours of Mr Stott on Modern Love and the Regis twelve for the doom laden Blackest Ever Black. That's not to say the latest Chasing Voices release doesn't retain its own distinct charms however: the cavernous treatment of percussive rhythms marks the onset of "Another Walk", sweeping loosely through the deep set droning textures which gradually force their way to the fore and grapple with the sinewy acid line. Highly limited one sided pressing replete with suitably murky screen printed cover art.
