Firmly established as a digital label of some repute, Audio Parallax expanded operations into the physical realm earlier this year. A second 12" transmission arrives and the Newcastle label have wisely chosen to reissue one of their recent highlights for wider consideration. Andras Fox, the latest in a long line of young Australian producers made a truly impressive debut with his four track EP Your Life in March of last year, demonstrating a real confidence and mastery of his sample based approach and the delightful title track makes the format based jump here along with two other gems. "Your Life" hogs the A Side with its sweetly intoxicating beatdown house, deftly wrapping gently welcoming chords and dusty drums in a sea of vinyl crackle. Should you be impervious to the A Side's charms there is always the deep sea aqua boogie of "The Big Blue" and "Magpie Echoes" chiming beatdown to contend with.
