Long-time tech ambassador from Berlin by way of San Francisco, Alland follows up previous Bad Animal hits such as "Thirsty Eyes" and "Tragic Acid" with this demonstratively dark double-up. "Dead Ringer" is a straight up space techno jam peppered with heavily processed African vocals and shimmering, winking synth flourishes. "Good Hurt" draws us into a moodier mindset as moaning, mournful vocals yearn over soft kicks and dense synth washes. Complete with a bubbling basement remix from Mosca, Bad Animal have delivered in a major way.
