In the pantheon of unlikely combinations for a record release, Boys Noize dropping on Cocoon backed with a remix from Mark E ranks pretty highly, but cast aside your reservations as this is an impressive debut from Mr Ridha on Mr Vath's long running imprint. With a name such as "Adonis" anyone with a respectable knowledge of house music history would guess Ridha is taking his cue from the legendary Chicago DJ and acid house producer of the same name. It makes for a respectful update of that sound, demonstrating none of the jarring sonic overtones that have permeated Ridha's maximal output over the last few years. On the flip the Merc boss adds a killer Motor City bump to the track, teasing out his own granite thick textures on a remix that might feasibly lead to further big name commissions.
