Utterly divine double 12" from ambient producer bvdub, aka Brock van Wey, on Berlin imprint Styrax. The producer is revered for his deeply emotional, personal sound sketches, and he were see him open up over two 12"s (one red, one clear), with opening salvo "A Silent Reign" easing you in with a gentle dub and softly floating synths. "Anyone Who Remembered You Is Gone" is more delicate still, with a soft yet insistent snare providing the rhythmic base for a truly moving sonic exploration. The second 12 offer more ethereal delights, with Vangelis style synth work on "Isolation's Embrace" before "The Growing Stone" ends with the EP's most robust moment, with a subaqueous broken beat.
