Deep-seeded spiritualism and tribal techniques are at play here as revered instrumentalist Jephte Guillaume, a long-standing contributor to world music, hooks up with Rotterdam-based Diephuis (AKA deep house) for a shamanistic sojourn to the Dutch capital. Coming on strong like the lovechildren of Banco De Gaia, Derrick May and Laurent Garnier, each of the heavily drum-punched versions offer mesmerising twists on the African chant sample used in the original.
