"Dirty Boogaloo" (Suonho Don't Be Afraid remix) |
On first listen, "La Musique En Verite" sounds like an old Afrobeat record from Laos in the early 70s. Then you realise its percussion is too modern and there's a lush cosmic, loopy twang to proceedings. Nailing a vibe that sounds like Lindstromm moved to Nigeria, Switch Groov EVP have created something unique and entirely danceable. "Dirty Boogaloo" is every bit as good as you'd expect; with a funk vibe that sounds like Wax Tailor but much deeper and sexier, it's the perfect B-side. Bab to the bone!
