Four:Twenty kick off 2008 with yet another landmark release that displays this imprints uncanny ability to back a winner every time.
This particular winner is none other than Solomun, who has served up his finest work yet in three outstanding tracks on 'Deadman'.
Lead cut 'Deadman' is an anthem of a track in a time when anthems are few and far between. Rising, Detroit keys layer up with rich
strings atop a warm, organic drum track creating a fluid deep houser which is head and shoulders above the crowd. 'Beauty & The Beast'
occupies the B-Side in both dub and vocal form. Both are low slung, mid-tempo and percussive with a characterful and aurally pleasing FM
synth riff driving the track along while (in vocal form) Solomun betrays his Croatian roots with a superb Croation female vocal. The Dub shortens
things but still retains the all important groove. With heavily supported releases for Dessous, Member Of The Trick and his own Dynamic imprint
in 2007, Mladen Solomun has already begun a career trajectory of epic proportions and now this release for Four:Twenty looks set to establish
him as go-to producer for top quality house and techno.
