Peace Off's Ruff offshoot arrives with its 5th release, a split 12" from Starkey and Bong Ra, cut loud and deep for maximum bass pressure. The a-side features Starkey's remix of Lupe Fiasco's "Kick Push", never before available on vinyl. Starkey takes a screwed up acappella and twists it into a street bass beat that equally sits next to dubstep and hip-hop. For the aa-side Bong Ra drives full force into break-step mode with "Sissy Spacek". The tune opens with towering synths alongside sparse percussion, but morphs into the second drop where Bong Ra flexes his drum editing prowess.
