Solomun (aka Play) has been one of the moving spirits in Hamburg's electronic music scene for quite a few years now. He hosts the beloved DIY club series and runs his own label imprint. This two-track EP features "Samba" on the a-side, spreading a warm, if twisted feeling, guaranteed to win over clubbers everywhere with its elaborate build-up. Little ups and downs keep the tension at maximum level, real edge of the seat stuff as you wonder what is going to happen next. On the b-side "Lambada" keeps the good vibes coming. This track is based around a fresh and versatile percussion set-up, a nicely moving and grooving bassline plus a recurrent chord theme. All in all a very good reason to shake your booty!
