Ox Rider Records follow up the success of their first two releases with another scorching double a-side from label boss, DJ and producer Whistla. "Merkaba" sees Whistla launching a swing offensive on a dubstep scene crowded by too much bland wobble-bass and not enough ideas. It's summer dammit, and the people want to dance. "Merkaba" takes us on a trippy journey through the heady days of garage. Vocal samples from a bizarre instructional tape - "deep breaths in, deep breaths out" - sit on top of addictive stabs of bass and drums that make you want to lay back in the sun for days on end.
