There was a time when the Juice Crew were running things, and truly believed that nobody could compete with them. MC Shan embodied that belief, with his tight rhymes and 'battle anybody' attitude. Overflowing with confidence, Shan has been a well-rounded MC since he first showed up on wax in 1985, coming correct whether he was story telling, free styling, or kicking some of the most impressive extended metaphors in hip-hop history. Cold Chillin Records and Traffic Entertainment Group proudly present MC Shan's "Down By Law", available for the first time as a 2-disc set. It includes the original track listing from the album, and a plethora of substantial bonus material. All the songs have digitally re-mastered, all additional photography was supplied by George DuBose, and a deluxe six panel digi-pak with a 24 page booklet includes all the lyrics. The liner notes are written by Fly Ty, Mr. Magic, George DuBose and Shan himself!
