Soundway Records presents the tropical sound of Colombia: From the salsa's and descarga's of Cali, Medelliin and Bogota to the Afro sounds and raw cumbias of Cartagena and Barranquilla, this is the sound of Colombian dancehalls and clubs in the 60's and 70's, when the legendary Discos Fuentes record label led the way. The sounds emanating from the Barrios and beaches of Colombia are a unique mixture of Latin sounds and Afro rhythms, drawing influences from the New York and Puerto Rican Latin scenes.
