Review

The Lovejoys call their music B-Beat. B-Beat is music B-Boys dig. Raw funk, weird cheesy listening, psychedelic instrumental rock, TV- and movie-themes and instrumental soul. The main theme of 'The Streets Of San Francisco' taken from the legendary American TV-Series was a track The Lovejoys loved since day one. It's one of the highlights of their live-set, and they recorded it with the same energy. A raw Hammond-tastic uptempo funk-track with great special sound effects. 'Hit Me Till I'm Blue', a track written by the Mohawks, was originally a test recording with awfully bad recorded drums, out-of-tune guitars and analogue synthesizers and an obviously drunk horn section with a gone mental madman on the tambourine adding a touch of happy bizarre sect reunion to it.
