Mini album length EP/Single from Mogwai released as a fitting reminder of the magnificence of their acclaimed Mr Beast album. After spending the first five months of the year on the road playing to sold-out venues in the UK, Japan, the US and Europe, Mogwai release the 'Travel Is Dangerous' EP. The lead track ("the best shoegazing track since My Bloody Valentine's heyday" - Observer Music Monthly) and one of the most accessible from Mogwai's most revered and biggest albums to date, 'Mr Beast' features multi-instrumentalist Barry Burns on vocals. Two album tracks have been remixed for the release in the shape of Acid Casuals' (aka Cian of Super Furry Animals) take on the piano-led first single 'Friend of The Night' and Errors' (of Mogwai's own Rock Action label) new version of 'Auto Rock'. Two tracks recorded live in Tokyo in January are also included, the seminal 'Like Herod' and new end of set favourite 'We're No Here' are awesome recordings and very heavy which gives a nice balance to the relative ambience of the two mixes. Released on CD single and 12" vinyl, the 'Travel Is Dangerous' EP has a playing time of over 30 minutes.
