Hot from a recent UK tour, where they blew the roof off the Jazz Cafe, rocked Glastonbury (twice!!) and gave Isaac Hayes a good run for his money at The Forum, New York's finest export since lemon cheesecake return with another killer slice of Afro funk. Full of the charismatic style that they have become known for, "Sabroso" slips and slides around a driving Afro-Latin groove and shows why it has become a Kokolo live favourite. On the remix tip we have White Mike, who dubs out the horns of the original and beefs up the percussion to give the track a punchier, more club-orientated touch. On the flip we find Scandinavia's Beatfanatic (Raw Fusion) re-working album track "Mama Don't Want No Gun" into a sprawling seven minute Afro-funk workout. This is a brilliant Freestyle release.
