Italian crew Repitch Recordings, made up of Ascion, D. Carbone and new school industrial-noise heavy weight Shapednoise usher in the second release in their 10Inch series, which launched in impressive fashion with the split release from Marcelus and Markus Suckut. Using their previous works as a references point, the production of "Basic Impact" suggest more Ascion and D. Carbone input than Shapednoise, as undulating low end grooves, rhythmically delayed hi-hats and traditional techno drums share a similar cadence to Xhin's earlier work on Stroboscopic Artefacts, while the industrialised drum sequences and scorching panoramic noise-scapes of "Metempsychosis" make it undeniably known Shapednoise helmed the controls of this production.
