More commonly known for his vocal contributions, Fritz 'Brother To Paul' Kalkbrenner used last year's album Here Today Gone Tomorrow to showcase his production chops, with "Kings In Exile" one of the set's highlights. Thus, its selection as a post release single seems smart, as does the choice of remixer to accompany. For those unfamiliar with the track, Brother Fritz has delivered a decidedly jaunty deep house groove that excels through its simplistic intentions to cause rhythmic movement. Suol label bosses Chopstick & Johnjon, sometimes collaborators with Fritz, switch the pace down opting for a beatdown deep house thud which works well with the subaqueous vocals, whilst there's a real progression to the remix which shows the track in a new light. On the flip, premier act Booka Shade ramp up the likelihood of endorphin rushing with a remix that's all punchy jacking hats, odd delayed vocal swirls and panned melodies that combine with hypnotic effect
