  4. Mind Fair - "Beijing Freeze" (5:52)
Review: It's been two long years since the last release on Dean Meredith's fine Rogue Cat Sounds label, so this surprise return is certainly welcome. Location 141 (AKA producer Benjamin Legge) handles the A-side, first dropping a chunk of freestyle-influenced proto-house chug ("Silk"), before diving headlong into the world of deep and loopy leftfield house on the Mark E style "In The Sky". On the flip Meredith joins forces with Ben Shenton for more Mind Fair material. They're at their fluid, languid and atmospheric best on the sun-kissed Balearic shuffle of "Symphony Rising", while "Beijing Freeze" sounds like an eight-bit take on classic Yellow Magic Orchestra after a loved-up evening of al-fresco forest dancing.

Cat: ROGUE 009. Rel: 18 May 15
  1. In & Out Of Love (12" version) (5:26)
  2. City Life (instrumental) (6:06)
Review: Dean Meredith's Rogue Cat label get in on the Record Store Day action with this rather tasty reissue of an early British electro funk curio from OPM. Originally issued on the short-lived RAM Records label in 1983, "In & Out Of Love" was one of those forgotten cuts from a byegone era until Thomas Bullock ended his three hour Just Jam Session with it back in 2012, leading to all second hand copies getting hoovered up. You can see why it's proved so popular now, a growling Linn drum monster that can be wedged inbetween house or disco and freshen up any dancefloor. This 12" Version on Rogue Cat is complemented by "City Love", a track OPM released through Beau Jolly the following year and is presented in a sleeve designed by the killer Turbo Island crew.
