  1. ERROR404 - "3MTA3" (7:18)
  2. ODDNIPP - "Sneaknipp" (8:54)
Review: Artwork of the week goes to Blind Jack's Journey and this Polar Nip 10" from Error 404 and Oddnip!! Oh yes and the music is pretty damn great too as you'd expect from the perennially on point and perennially sold out Yorkshire label. Up top, the unheralded Error 404 delivers a slab of slow burning acid that bumps and fizzes in all the right places for over seven minutes - a bit like a pitched down Funkineven track and a nice cut for when you want to add a bit of drama to the early hours of a clubnight. Down below and Blind Jack's graduate Errornipp comes through with a delicious slab of beatdown house with plenty of neat interplay between those fat kickdrums and those grooving melodies.

  1. In The Working Day (5:49)
  2. In The Transition (5:40)
  3. In The Chords (6:30)
  4. In The Box (6:54)
Review: Previously, Jimini and Luv Jam have both contributed revivalist dream house releases; here, they join forces for an EP whose Spacey Houses title apparently pays tribute to an area of Yorkshire, rather than intergalactic dancefloor grooves. Of course, the showcased material is fittingly spacey in tone, particularly the hushed, stargazing deep house hypnotism of "In The Working Day" and almost Balearic deep house rush of "In The Chords", whose cascading motifs and swishing chord progressions doff a cap to early Motor City techno. Also rather fine is closer "In The Box", where a three-minute ambient intro makes way for shuffling, low-key breakbeats, psychedelic electronics and twinkling pianos.

  1. Jimini & Molly New - "On The Road (Sometimes)" (Flyypost Goosebump vox)
  2. Jimini - "Hopeness"
  3. Jimini - "Little World"
  4. Jimini - "Wishes"
Review: A welcome return to Blind Jack's Journey for Lille's foremost exponent of deep house lusciousness Jimini, with the Frenchman having helped inaugurated the label's Dream House series back in 2012. Though he's only previously issued one full single, the digital only 2013 Dance Flight Therapy EP on Lo-Deep Recordings, Jimini is clearly suited to the format; here he treats ears to a quartet of productions that commences on a palpably sensuous note with "On The Road", a track whose emotive impact is magnified by the fragile vocal contribution of Molly Knew. The lightly break beat flavoured "Hopeness" draws from a similar sound palette, with some incandescent synths taking the show stealing place of any vocals, whilst the B Side houses two cuts that the DJs will find very useful indeed, in particular the deep grooves of "Wishes". Another fine drop from Blind Jack's Journey.

  2. RNR vs Luv Jam - "Talk To Me" (6:54)
  3. Deep88 - "Acid Casio" (5:25)
  4. Gnork vs Luv Jam - "Zipppp" (5:49)
Review: Like the Rhythms of The Pacific series, the Dream House Tropicana EPs from Blind Jacks Journey giddily explore the dreamy, sun-baked potential of analogue-rich deep house. This third volume in the series continues in a similar vein, gathering together a quartet of tactile treats. We Play House regular Luv Jam makes two collaborative contributions, first hooking up with RNR on the gently fluttering bliss of "Talk To Me", before joining forces with rave-era house revivalist Gnork on the early Orbital style shuffle of "Zippp". Elsewhere, Italian deep house maestro Deep88 drops the deliciously loose and blissful "Acid Casino", and RNR goes solo with the melodious and calming "Room of Soul".
