Haze EP (12")
Cat: EBEAMZ 001. Rel: 05 Dec 16
  1. Haze (8:08)
  2. Nightscape (4:46)
  3. First Contact (3:09)
Review: Ironically, Longdick isn't long in the game... Yet. This is his first full vinyl release having teased us on limited House Plants tapes and Bandcamp, here we find the Aussie freshman long-shlonging it across both house and jungle pastures in an arrangement that tells a tale in itself; "Haze" blows the starters klaxon with its sweet dreamy garage vibes, all clappy beats and a deep waist shuffle. "Nightscape" turbo-charges the party with its fusion of clunky tech 4/4s with a slo-mo industrial breakbeats while "First Contact" thrusts into rave nirvana with its Goodlooking style pads, birdsong and busted amen magic. Long it out.

Cat: VEC 001. Rel: 05 Dec 16
  1. Memory Card (5:55)
  2. Grid Projector (4:27)
  3. Crisis Force (4:14)
  4. Decisions In Life (4:49)
Review: Prism Industrial Complex affiliate Intimacy delivers a quad of raw, physical house and jungle across two sides: the title track stands out with its Reinforced / Ibiza Records style jungle hedonism, "Memory Card" is a hurricane of atmospheres anchored by a bubblesome acid line while "Grid Projector" shimmers with dubby synths but maintains focus and edge with it industrial rhythmic elements. Muscular whistle-peppered warehouse brings the finale fire via "Decisions In Life". The (crisis) force is strong on this one.

  1. Track 1 (5:19)
  2. Track 2 (6:10)
  3. Track 3 (6:28)
  4. Track 4 (5:48)
Review: Five years deep into their projects, 7th Storey have worked up such a sound and buzz that it's now impossible to tell whether the productions are excavations or contemporary. Here we know that these are the latter as Reaper and Dwarde have been highly active on labels such as Phat Bubba, Scientific Wax and Green Bay but the foundations are just as deep and authentic. Ranging from the jungle techno hardcore breaks of "Track 1" to the rattling Dread bass sub and amen fizz of "Track 2" via the Horizons-style twinkles of "Track 3" and the out-and-out hardcore hedonism of "Track 4", this is heavy enough to reshuffle 20 jungle councils and still have power to energise a rave of 20,000. Serious gear.

Split EP (limited 12")
Cat: EBEAMZ 002. Rel: 05 Dec 16
  1. Tlim Shug - "Funeral Errday" (5:19)
  2. DJ Playstation - "Press Start" (5:48)
Review: Launching with both serious and strange statements of intent: the location-unknown vinyl only E-Beamz imprint continues its wide-armed embrace of the deep with another boundary-smashing 12". US mystery man Tlim Shug paves the path with chugging Chi-town jack that wouldn't go amiss in a Farina set while Playstation (a Frenchman you may know as Maukook) lays down an Omni Trio flavoured jungle joint that's coated in pads so thick and breezy you can taste them. Delicious.
