With extensive research and development, the Geo-Disc features a proprietary 3D visual system that delivers incredibly precise, uncomplicated, rapid and economical cartridge alignment. Mobile Fidelity's Geo-Disc is an LP sized platter that provides a very accurate spot for adjusting the cartridge overhang, and has visual gridlines for properly adjusting the offset angles. It's a lot easier to use than those flimsy plastic templates or paper cutouts that come with a lot of turntables. Just fit the disc on your platter and align using the simple printed graph based on the Baerwald alignment curve.
Typically, surfaces are excited by speakers, subwoofers or simply by low frequency emission caused by traffic of cars and trains and transformers. Almost all feet of audio devices, like turntables, amplifiers, disc players are not designed for sufficiently isolating from frequency ranges, that really matter. Absorb It consists of high-tech synthetic rubber material, that dampens a wide frequency range from infrasonic to 500 Hz and therefore effectively prevents transmission of structure-born sound. It works like an electronic "subsonic" filter, but without having their assets and drawbacks. It is solidly built and can be used for any sensitive equipment with 3 or 4 feet and even with high mass units up to 64 kg!
This gauge is a highly accurate beam balance instrument designed to measure the actual downward force exerted by a stylus on a record over the range of 0.5g to 3.0g. Each gauge is individually calibrated and displays readings in 0.05g increments in order to provide a precise measurement of stylus tracking force.
It is solidly built and user-friendly, and there's even a small mirror to help you seeing when the scale is in perfect equilibrium.
The Regular design can be used in conjunction with a clamp if desired.
Placing the middle finger of your left hand on the edge of the record and moving the record forwards and backwards you will feel the whole platter move with it. This extra grip combined with the excellent vibration damping provided by the cork are the characteristics that make the Wooden Bull a great addition to any good quality turntable.
Gluing the leather to the cork also serves to completely eliminate air pockets that can be present under standard leather mats. These air pockets can result in tiny yet audible pops and clicks on playback.
