300-Watt NEKKST K10S Studio Subwoofer
Notes: The 300-Watt NEKKST K10S Studio Subwoofer's unparalleled, world-class performance is the result of a major collaboration between BEHRINGER audio engineers and loudspeaker master-designer/founder of KRK - Keith R Klawitter.

This incredible audiophile-grade subwoofer is ideal for all critical listening environments thanks to the custom-engineered bridge-mode amplifier that drives the 10" glass-fibre woofer for rich, deep and tight bass. KRK
Cat: 426305 Rel: 30 May 11
Notes: The KRK 10s powered subwoofer is designed to extend the low-frequency performance of an existing monitor system so that the low-frequency portion of the mix can be properly engineered. The KRK 10s features a great looking cabinet with curved edges. The front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer ensure accurate and powerful low-end punch. A sturdy grill protects the woofer and adds to the sleek appearance of the unit. A high-power amplifier and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction.

For years, KRK subwoofers have been the choice for accurate low frequency monitoring in studios large and small. Now, the KRK10s provides a new standard for even better performance and accuracy, raising the bar once again. Whether you are mixing in a 2.1 or 5.1 surround environment or just looking to upgrade the low-frequency extension of your existing monitors, the KRK 10s will provide the low frequency detail and accuracy that will help you to create a better mix.

Take a look at competitive subwoofer monitors and you'll find ports on the back of the cabinet. These rear-firing ports tend to create bass coupling with walls and corners over-amplifying low frequency information which in turn colors your mix. The superior design of the KRK 10s includes front-firing ports which are just the right shape to reduce port turbulence. You'll appreciate the clean and accurate bass performance this approach delivers, even at high SPLs.

You need to feel the bass and KRK's proprietary signature yellow woofer delivers tight clear low end response. KRK's engineers and listening panel took the KRK 10s speaker voicing to even more accurate levels. What you hear is what you are intended to hear, coloration is not part of the spec. This performance is brought to you by drivers that are custom-designed by KRK world-class studio monitor engineering team for a clear and low-distortion performance.

KRK focus on your mix and appreciate the need for monitors that not only sound great but work easily with your particular set up. That's why you'll find plenty of input options with your KRK 10s, sure to accommodate any studio environment. So if it's RCA, 1/4" (balanced/unbalanced) or XLR inputs you require, KRK 10s has got you covered.

With a sweepable 50-130Hz low pass filter, your KRK 10s provides flexible control for any monitoring system. It's true that KRK think your KRK 10s sounds best using KRK full range monitors in a system configuration. However, the low pass filter provides great flexibility with any full-range monitor setup.

The KRK 10s subwoofer is equipped with a bypass feature which allows you to defeat the sub and provide full range audio to your recording monitors. You will need to use a standard 1/4" mono latching footswitch. Any standard latching 1/4" mono footswitch should be compatible.

M Audio BX 10" Active Studio Subwoofer
 Add to cart
 1 in stock $292.83
Cat: 553876 Rel: 01 Dec 14

Premium active 10" subwoofer with 240 watts of power & XLR/TRS/RCA inputs
Notes: The BX Subwoofer delivers deep, accurate bass response down to the lowest audible frequencies, picking up where your left/right studio monitors leave off. Recording professionals know that hearing the extreme low frequencies in music is essential for making accurate mixing adjustments and producing the best recordings. The BX Subwoofer easily fulfills this requirement in a powerful and compact package that won't take up too much of your valuable studio space.

The BX Subwoofer's frequency response extends down to 20Hz (-3 dB), the lowest audible frequency. It uses the highest-quality components for no-compromise performance: a 10" fiberglass/paper composite driver with an oversized magnet and high-temperature 2" voice coil, powered by a 240-watt Class AB all-discrete internal amplifier with a variable 50-200 Hz crossover. The cabinet is constructed of resonant-free 3/4" Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) with 1" front and rear baffles, and is heavily braced to eliminate the extraneous cabinet vibrations that can rob a subwoofer of its impact and articulation.

However, pure acoustic performance is not the only thing that's important to you. Therefore, we've focused on making the BX Subwoofer as easy to connect and convenient to use as possible.

To give it the connection and use flexibility needed to accommodate any system configuration, the BX Subwoofer has a full complement of inputs, outputs and controls.

Designed for use with the M-Audio M3, BX Carbon and BX D2 series, the BX Subwoofer delivers the deep bass response necessary to optimize your music, film and multimedia projects. Most of today's personal audio systems can easily reproduce very low bass frequencies, so it's critical that your audio production environment allows you to monitor and adjust those frequencies while you're mixing.

Studio monitors like our BX5 Carbon are designed to work well as full-range monitors. Yet when they are asked to reproduce extremely bass-heavy material at high volumes, it can be taxing on the speakers and fatiguing to the listener. When they're used in tandem with the BX Subwoofer however, the system comfortably reproduces full-range signals at significantly higher levels without any audible stress.

The BX Subwoofer accepts two-channel stereo outputs from your mixer, audio interface or sound card. Your main L/R monitors connect to the subwoofer's outputs. As stated above, the internal crossover network of the BX Subwoofer splits the signal at a user-chosen crossover frequency ( between 50-200Hz), routing everything below to the sub and everything above the crossover point to the main L/R monitor speakers

Bass you can feel takes some heavy-duty power and components. That's why the BX Subwoofer carries a hefty 240 watts average continuous of totally discrete Class AB power for tons of headroom. "Headroom" is the amount of undistorted instantaneous power an amplifier can deliver in excess of its "continuous" or "average" RMS long-term power output rating. It's what makes one amplifier sound "louder" than another, even when both have the same power rating. Class AB amplifiers have far more headroom than Class D digital amplifiers and an AB amp can usually play much louder and cleaner than a D of the same continuous power rating.

A good monitoring system allows you to create material that translates well across a variety of playback environments. As such, it's important to know what your mixes will sound like both with and without the low-frequency extension a subwoofer provides. This is precisely why the BX Subwoofer includes a subwoofer bypass function that completely removes the subwoofer amp, speaker, and crossover from the signal path - sending the full-bandwidth program to your near-field monitors. By plugging in the included footswitch, you can control this function dynamically as you're playing back your material - even from across the room.

10 inch glass composite powered subwoofer with built in crossover and resonance suppressing enclosure technology
Notes: To hear what's really going on at the bottom of your mixes, you need a subwoofer that speaks the truth. The Temblor T10 lets you take charge of the low-frequency foundation of your mix with a combination of quality components and design, plenty of inputs and outputs, and extensive user controls not normally available in this price range.

An ideal companion to Eris and Sceptre active reference monitors, the T10 complements full-range monitors without overshadowing them, extending the reach of your full-range system's low end with a musical and natural approach.
Powerful and musical, Temblor features high-quality components and design that enable it to deliver fast and accurate transient response, extending low frequencies without a hint of "tubbiness" or overshoot.

The Temblor T10 is an active subwoofer with a 10-inch glass-composite driver, built-in crossover, high-temperature voice coil, and damped rubber surround. Its cabinet features a front-firing, bass-reflex acoustic port and optimized, resonance-suppressing internal bracing. The enclosure has integrated rubber feet for stable placement.

In addition to outstanding accuracy and a frequency response that ranges from 20 Hz to 130 Hz, this combination of features enables the subwoofer to produce higher volume - up to 113 dB SPL - with less power than a sealed-box design. But make no mistake; the T10 has plenty of juice: 250 watts of Class AB power.

The result is a subwoofer that delivers accurate, tight low end and outperforms subs costing far more. With Temblor T10, you hear what the foundation of your mix really sounds like so you can produce your best mix from top to bottom.

The T10 provides more user controls than any other subwoofer in its class, enabling seamless integration into your listening environment.

The Temblor T10's extensive user controls include input gain (-30 dB to +6 dB, continuously variable) and a continuously variable low-pass filter (50 Hz to 130 Hz) that let you create a seamless crossover transition between your full-range studio monitors and subwoofer for a more accurate listening environment.

A switchable high-pass filter removes frequency content below 80 Hz from the full-range signal sent from the T10 outputs to the main monitors, avoiding destructive cancellation and reinforcement in the T10's upper range.
The result is a subwoofer that can be adjusted to perfectly complement not only our Sceptre CoActual and Eris active studio monitors but virtually any studio monitor.

The T10 also features a momentary footswitch (included) that bypasses the subwoofer, high-pass filter, and Sub Out. This allows your audio source signal to pass directly through the Temblor T10 to the full-range studio monitors, making comparing your mix with or without sub frequencies quick and easy. This helps to ensure your mix will sound good on a wide variety of systems.

Of course, we didn't forget the "small things" that can make a big difference: polarity invert and a ground-lift switch.

No other subwoofer anywhere close to the Temblor T10's price range offers a comparable selection of inputs and outputs.

The Temblor T10 provides a choice of three input pairs: two sets of balanced inputs (XLR and 1/4" TRS) and one pair of RCA unbalanced inputs. Pairs of inputs are provided in order to accept a stereo signal from your audio source.
When both of the balanced connections are in use, the TRS inputs will take precedence over the XLR inputs. The RCA inputs will sum into either balanced connection.

You get two pairs of balanced outputs: XLR and 1/4" TRS. The full-range signal connected to the stereo inputs on the T10 is passed through to these outputs so you can connect them to your main left and right studio monitors. If the High Pass Filter switch is engaged, frequencies below 80 Hz are not sent from these outputs.

The T10 also has a balanced XLR output that sends the low-frequency signal from the low-pass filter to a second Temblor T10 for the ultimate in smooth low end.
