Ultra-flexible USB audio interface
Notes: The Behringer U-Control UCA202 USB audio interface is the ultra-flexible USB audio interface that connects your instruments, mixer, etc. with your computer for recording and playback. It has high-resolution 48 kHz A/D and D/A converters for high-end audio quality. The U-Control works with your PC or Mac computer, no setup or drivers required. This is the fastest way to upgrade any mixer.

Looking for a simple, affordable way to get your music into the digital realm? Or maybe you'd like to connect your computer to an external effects unit or recorder? Want to transfer your old cassette tapes to CD before all the oxide falls off the tape? The fastest, easiest way to get analog audio into your computer is with the U-Control UCA202 audio interface. PC and Mac ready, this ultra-compact, USB-powered device lets you connect your PC or Mac computer to virtually any piece of audio gear.

The UCA202 requires no special setup or drivers, just plug it in to a free USB port and get busy. The UCA202 provides 2 analog mono inputs and outputs (for monitoring), USB connectivity and an additional S/PDIF optical output for direct analog-to-digital conversion. The stereo headphone output features a dedicated level control and lets you listen to both the input and output. Imagine the possibilities. When used as a professional interface between a mixing console and your computer, myriad options become available. Some of these might include connecting the UCA202 RCA outputs to the tape input jacks of your mixer; to powered monitors or to the input channels on the mixer. Connecting to the mixer input channels allows you to use the AUX send feature of your mixer to build an extremely versatile monitor mix for recording sessions. These are just a few of the possibilities. To truly get the most out of your UAC202, you will need recording and editing software. So, Behringer decided to give you lots of free software to choose from. For a fraction of the cost of an over-priced USB audio interface from those other guys, you can have state-of-the-art digital conversion, world-class recording and editing software and hassle-free connectivity between your PC or Mac computer and any piece of audio equipment.

If you're ready to take your projects to an even higher level, XT software's energyXT2 is just the trick. This amazing DAW (digital audio workstation) makes it easy to manipulate your audio and MIDI files, turning song ideas into stunning CD or web-ready recordings. energyXT2 includes built-in synthesizers, which can be accessed directly via an external controller or programmed by step-write mode. There's even a built-in drum machine and internal multi-FX processor.

RME
Cat: 420693 Rel: 04 Apr 11

36-channel 192 kHz USB2.0 high speed audio interface
Notes: The compact RME Fireface UC has been uncompromisingly optimized for highest performance under Windows and Mac OS. Based on a newly developed RME Hammerfall core, the Fireface UC audio interface provides revolutionary ultra-low latencies even with multiple channels. It uses two different firmware versions with different transfer methods to remove current restrictions of typical USB audio interfaces. The unit's operating mode Win or Mac can be changed directly at the unit at any time. Under Mac OS, the Fireface's MIDI ports are class compliant, the operating system therefore automatically uses the included MIDI driver.

Under both operating systems, the available latencies are simply sensational. The smallest buffer offered under Windows has 48 samples, under Mac OS X 14 samples. With this RME provides a performance comparable to PCI express interfaces under USB 2.0.

High-speed USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interface with 4 inputs & 4 outputs
Notes: Pro Performance For Portable Production:
With a pair of premium VS Preamps onboard, plus superb 24-bit/192 kHz audio quality, ultra-low latency performance, and convenient USB bus power, QUAD-CAPTURE sets a new standard for portable USB 2.0 audio interfaces. Its compact, durable design and pristine sound makes it the perfect foundation for portable, multichannel computer-based productions on the go. With quality and performance that far exceeds its size and price, QUAD-CAPTURE stands at the head of its class.

VS Preamps:

Two XLR/TRS combo inputs are provided for the preamps, plus independent phantom power, low-cut filter, phase invert, and digital compression for each channel. The VS preamps can be controlled easily and intuitively with the included graphical Control Panel software (Mac/PC).

One-Click AUTO-SENS:

Low-Noise Power Supply:
One of QUAD-CAPTURE's key "behind-the-scenes" features is its low-noise, wide-ranging power supply. Designed to deliver a clean, balanced input and output, it provides a reliable foundation for any professional audio application or environment. When driven by the USB bus power supply, QUAD-CAPTURE's power is regenerated, providing the analog circuitry ideal voltage for the very best sound quality and efficiency in mobile environments.

Aluminum Build, DI Functionality:
QUAD-CAPTURE is small, strong, and housed in a road-tough aluminum body, so you can transport it anywhere with the confidence that its premium internal components are securely protected. For live-concert environments, QUAD-CAPTURE also provides Direct-Box (DI) functionality, essential for noise-free live stage use.

RME Fireface UCX Audio & MIDI Interface

RME
Cat: 445883 Rel: 30 Jan 12

Hybrid 36-channel USB & FireWire audio interface
Notes: The RME Fireface UCX is a compact 36-channel, 192kHz USB and Firewire hybrid audio interface, incorporating Hammerfall X-Core technology, high-end converters and TotalMix FX effects engine.

Continuing the line of pristine quality X-Series interfaces, the Fireface UCX packs an incredible amount of technology into a half-rack unit. Featuring 18 ins and outs in total, 8 analogue i/o, 2 digitally controlled mic preamps, 2 instrument inputs, SPDIF, ADAT, Wordclock, 2 MIDI i/o all piped through FireWire 400 or USB 2.0 (USB 3 compatible) computer connections.

The Fireface UCX has impressive technical specifications, with 115dBA dynamic range on the analogue inputs and outputs; an excellent signal-to-noise ratio with very low distortion and jitter. Latency is negligable (0.4ms at 48 kHz), surpassing that of many, more expensive interfaces, making the UCX a serious recording tool for studio or stage. The mic preamps use technology from the RME Micstacy, ensuring flat response and supreme dynamic range, and can also provide automatic and intelligent level control to ensure distortion-free recording.

TotalMix allows for flexible DSP mixing and routing of all i/o's plus effects even at the highest sample rates. Every channel can have 3-band parametric EQ, adjustable HPF, dynamics, MS processing and phase reversal. A stereo auxiliary send gives access from any channel to the reverb and delay effects engine, allowing DSP-based mininal-latency monitoring effects. There are limitations to the total number of simultaneous effects depending on sample rate, but when the DSP load is too high, the Fireface UCX will use the FX-DSP automatic overload surveillance to inform you, or deactivate some DSP, ensuring the DSP engine is never overloaded.

As well as using RME's proprietry USB and Firewire drivers, the Fireface UCX can also be used standalone, or in Class Compliant Mode. This allows the unit to be used without a driver on several operating systems including (via the Camera Connection Kit) the iPad or iPad2, making these mobile platforms capable of studio quality audio recording.

Audio interface designed for the iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or Mac
Notes: The Apogee Duet is an award-winning audio interface, headphone amp and MIDI interface making it easy to create professional recordings anywhere on your Mac, iPad, iPod touch or iPhone. With Apogee's legendary digital audio conversion and world-class mic preamps, the Duet is the best way to capture your music with incredible dimension and detail.

The new Duet for Mac & iPad features special circuitry designed to deliver professional performance for iPad use along with low latency USB 2.0 performance for Mac. And with the addition of MIDI I/O you can connect and power a Core MID compatible keyboard/controller while using Duet with your iPad or iOS device.

The Duet's AD/DA converters are designed to deliver the purest recordings and best listening experience possible. The Duet's efficient circuitry and state-of-the-art components provide a simplified signal path resulting in incredibly transparent recordings.

Much like the AD/DA converters, the Duet's mic preamps feature the latest components and offer seamless click-free transitions as the gain increases and decreases throughout the incredible range of 0-75dB. This unprecedented feature allows you to dial in the perfect level, either with the controller knob or from within software, while delivering ultra-low noise and smooth, crisp detail. Duet's mic pres are suitable for all dynamic, condenser or ribbon microphones, allowing you to capture any sound without compromise.

An Apogee technology first introduced in 1992 on Apogee's AD-500 converter, Soft Limit can be heard on countless platinum selling records around the world. Once a technology exclusively reserved for Apogee's most advanced audio converters, Soft Limit is included in Duet and can be enabled in Apogee Maestro software.

This superior analog design prevents the digital clipping that causes distortion by instantaneously rounding off transient peaks before they hit the analog-to-digital converter. Soft Limit allows several more decibels of apparent level to be recorded while subtly providing an analog-like warmth to the sound.

Wouldn't it be great to have one compact portable interface for your iPhone, iPad or Mac that you could use to connect your studio mics, your guitar or bass, your keyboards and your MIDI controller, and play, practice and record on the go? Ta Da! Now you can with iRig PRO.

iRig PRO is the first full featured compact audio and MIDI interface you can use with your XLR microphones, your guitar and bass, your keyboard or other line-level source and your MIDI controllers. It features an XLR/1/4" combo jack for connecting microphones and instruments (accepts XLR and 1/4" TS cables), and features the same MIDI connectivity and controls found in our iRig MIDI interface.

Now when you're on the go, you can record vocals, harmonies, acoustic instruments, electric guitar/bass, keyboards and more without changing your interface and disrupting your creative flow. Headroom? Maybe not.

With iRig PRO, you can plug your condenser mic in, flip the phantom power switch and record until your heart's content. Anywhere you play, you can use iRig PRO. It comes with three (3) cables to connect to all of your playing/recording devices: a Lightning cable for newer iPhones, iPads and the iPad mini; a 30-pin dock connector for "older" devices; and a USB cable for connection to your Mac laptop or desktop.

IK Multimedia iRig MIDI 2 Interface For iOS Mac & PC With Music Creation App Bundle
 Add to cart
 3 in stock $65.60
Cat: 540592 Rel: 21 Jul 14

Universal MIDI interface for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac/PC (lightning & USB cables included)
Notes: Introducing iRig MIDI 2, the first Lightning/USB compatible mobile MIDI interface that works with all generations of iOS devices as well as Mac and PC. It features everything you loved about iRig MIDI but with even greater pocketability, connectivity and control. Simply put, it's the perfect MIDI solution for the musician on the move.

As we've said, iRig MIDI 2 is the first portable MIDI interface that's compatible with Apple's Lightning cable. This, however, does not come at the expense of universal support. At the center of iRig MIDI 2 is its detachable Mini-DIN connector, which lets you attach a Lightning (included), USB (included) or 30-pin cable (sold separately) depending on the mobile device or computer that you'd like to use. Now you have the flexibility to use MIDI with whatever device you want, anytime, and anywhere.

iRig MIDI 2 is small, but it can be made even smaller when all of its cables are detached. Because of its Mini-DIN connector, you can remove all cables for extreme portability: Now you have something that you can easily carry with you in your pocket to any gig, performance, studio or jam session. In addition, all iRig MIDI 2 cables are bumper friendly, which means you can connect and start jamming without having to remove your mobile device's protective carrying case

Like iRig MIDI before it, iRig MIDI 2 features three MIDI ports: IN, OUT and THRU. But this time around the ports are standard-sized and require no adaptor or special cable to use - in fact, you can use any standard MIDI cable you'd like. These ports give you all the control and connectivity that MIDI allows: Use the IN port to use external keyboards and controllers to play your favorite software sound modules and synthesizers. Use the OUT port to control external hardware or synthesizers from your mobile device or computer. And you can use the THRU port to send MIDI data to multiple instruments at once. Monitoring MIDI data with iRig MIDI 2 is easy, it comes with two LEDs that give you an at-a-glance readout of the note data as it passes through the IN and OUT ports.

With iRig MIDI 2, you get more than just a supremely portable MIDI interface; you also get a full suite of music creation apps. As soon as you open the box you'll be ready to go. iOS users get two of IK's most popular mobile apps: SampleTank FREE is a sound and groove workstation filled with hundreds of high-quality instruments and patterns. iGrand Piano FREE is a concert-quality piano app that puts world-class piano sounds at your fingertips. And Mac and PC users can enjoy the full creative power of SampleTank 3 SE, a free version of IK's next generation SampleTank 3 desktop sound workstation. Beyond all that's included, iRig MIDI 2 works with all MIDI-compatible Mac and PC software as well as the entire spectrum of Core MIDI apps for iOS such as GarageBand, Cubasis, Beat Maker 2, Auria and many more.

iRig MIDI 2 has been designed and manufactured in Modena, Italy - a city famous for high-performance Italian industrial design. Like all IK products, it's been through rigorous quality testing to ensure the utmost in dependability i iRig MIDI 2 is housed in a durable rubberized enclosure designed to last performance after performance and gig after gig. IK Multimedia uses only the best components, materials and processes to create solid, smartly manufactured products at an affordable price.

MOTU 16A Thunderbolt & USB 2.0 Audio Interface
 Add to cart
 1 in stock $1,351.98
Cat: 543431 Rel: 11 Aug 14

Thunderbolt audio interface with 16 analog inputs and outputs, 48 channel mixing and AVB audio networking
Notes: The 16A is one of several new high-performance audio interfaces from MOTU that combine superb audio quality, large console style mixing, and state-of-the-art features

Sixteen balanced/unbalanced TRS analog inputs and outputs, plus 2 x 8-channel ADAT optical ports, deliver a total of 32 inputs and 32 outputs. Use the 16A for expanded analog I/O for your computer, or as a flexible, capable patchbay and mixer. Or both!

The 16A employs latest-generation ESS Sabre32 Ultra converters, known for their industry-leading performance, together with expertly engineered analog circuits that reflect more than three decades of pro audio engineering expertise. The result? The 16A achieves actual, measured performance of 123 dB dynamic range (A-weighted, 20 Hz to 20 kHz) on its balanced TRS analog outputs.

Every digital audio workflow has some latency. The only question is, how much? In the case of the 16A, the answer is, not much at all. In the 16A, latency is measured in a handful of samples, from the time an audio signal first goes digital to its arrival somewhere else (to an output, the mixer, or the computer). By keeping latency this low in the hardware, the 16A helps minimize latency introduced by your host software.

Thunderbolt lets you connect displays, hard drives, and other peripherals to your computer, along with the 16A, and the Thunderbolt bus won't even break a sweat. But more importantly, Thunderbolt gives you an astonishing 256 channels of computer I/O (128 in and out). You can use them to route audio to the physical inputs and outputs on the 16A, plus the 48-channel mixer inside the 16A, plus audio network streams. The 16A is the first and only interface to combine Thunderbolt I/O connectivity with AVB audio networking.

Don't have a Thunderbolt-equipped computer yet? Hi-speed USB 2.0 provides across-the-board compatibility with pretty much all laptops and desktops. The 16A is USB audio class compliant, which means you enjoy OS-level USB compatibility and support, including iPad support (with a camera connection kit). Since USB 2.0 devices are compatible with USB 3.0-equipped hosts, your 16A interface is a future-proof investment in your studio.

The 16A is equipped with a 48-channel digital mixer designed just like a large format mixing console. The 48 inputs can take signal from anywhere: the physical inputs on the 16A interface itself, audio channels from host software on your computer, audio network streams, or even mixer outputs. The mixer provides 7 stereo aux busses, 3 groups, a reverb bus that can alternately serve as a 4th group, a Main Mix bus and separate Monitor bus that can serve as a solo bus. In essence: capable and transparent mixing.

British analog mixing consoles are renowned for their musical EQ profiles. The 16A meticulously models these classic EQs to give you the very same, magical EQ response found on these coveted desks. Each input channel also provides a classic compressor module with optional peak/RMS operation. Groups and the Main Mix bus are equipped with MOTU's Leveler™, an accurate model of the legendary Teletronix™ LA-2A™ optical leveling amplifier, known for its unique and highly sought-after Automatic Gain Control (AGC) characteristics.

With one click on the 16A's routing grid, you can route any source signal to any destination. Sources can be analog or digital inputs on the interface, computer channels, mixer bus outputs, or audio network streams from other devices on the network. Destinations include interface outputs, host software inputs, mixer inputs, or any other device (or computer) on the AVB network. You can even split any single input (or stereo pair) to unlimited multiple output destinations.

The 16A network port introduces AVB Ethernet, the new industry standard developed by the IEEE for professional audio networking. Add a second MOTU AVB interface (1248, 8M or 16A) with a simple Cat-5e or CAT-6 ethernet cable.

The software that you can use to control the 16A doesn't reside on your hard drive. It's a web app served from the hardware itself. This means you can control the 16A's on-board DSP, mixing, device settings, and network audio routing from the web app software running in your favourite web browser on a laptop tablet or smart phone connected by wire or Wi-Fi to your local area network. Use any web client on any platform - Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android - as long as it shared the same network.

Connect an Apple Airport or other Wi-Fi router directly to the 16A with a standard Ethernet cable and control the 16A's powerful mixing and DSP effects from your smart phone or tablet, without a computer. Great for live sound mixing!

We partnered with Focusrite, who make the best sounding audio interfaces in the world, to make sure Audiohub 2x4 gives you extraordinary quality 96 kHz, 24-bit audio performance. This allows you to sample and capture pristine quality audio and listen back with zero latency at the click of a button.

Connect your main speakers and cue sub to high quality balanced and unbalanced outputs, with totally independent level control. The headphone output is also ludicrously loud, which is essential. We put all the volume and status controls on the top, to make them easy to access in the darkest environments, then housed the whole thing in a rock solid metal case.

Sample pristine audio through matched stereo inputs and Focusrite audio conversion, then play it back with the same exceptional quality audio, ultra-low latency and super-loud outputs. Do it all whilst bus-powering all your USB gear, so you don't have the usual cable and power supply clutter.

Leave the complexity at home. Connect all your DJ equipment to a single rock solid unit, with blisteringly loud speaker and headphone outputs, and independent level controls helpfully placed on the top. It's so much simpler.

Connect and power all your Novation USB and MIDI gear using a single unit. Audiohub 2x4 will blast your music out as loud as you like, while capturing your synth performances with exceptional Focusrite-quality audio, and playing them back with zero latency.

Connecting to iPad is a nuisance. Luckily, you can plug all your USB and audio gear into Audiohub 2x4, then connect that to your iPad using a single camera connection kit. Simply play your music in and output it live, all while powering your gear without draining your iPad battery as quickly.

It can take a lot of gear to make a great tune. That's why we put three integrated USB 2.0 ports into Audiohub 2x4, so you can connect your keyboard controller, NI Maschine, Novation Launchpad or any other USB gear to your computer at the same time. You can even connect it all to your iPad, if you have a camera connection kit.

You can bus-power Audiohub 2x4, but you'll need to connect the power supply if you want to use it to bus-power your USB gear as well. Still, better to carry around one power supply than four, right?

We've partnered with legendary audio equipment manufacturer, Focusrite, to raise your sound quality with exceptional 96 kHz, 24-bit audio performance. Sample pristine audio in - get pristine audio out, no matter how loud you go.

Live music needs to be loud and no performer appreciates quiet headphones. We've made sure every output is blisteringly loud: the four RCAs, the two balanced jacks and the headphone outputs. Everything is super loud.

Premium matched stereo RCA inputs mean you can capture pristine stereo sound and synth recordings, at perfectly matched levels.

The ultra-low latency performance is essential for playing out live using input signals, such as synths. Of course, you can always hit a button for direct, latency-free monitoring.

Simply plug and play on Mac and iOS. Dedicated low latency drivers for PC are supplied with simple, rock solid reliability.

Comes with Ableton Live Lite, the music production software of choice for countless leading artists, as well as an impressive collection of production-ready samples from the highly-esteemed Loopmasters.

We designed this for the gigging electronic music producer. It's compact, reliable and housed in a tough aluminium case. This is as rugged as interfaces get!

Tascam US 16X08 Rackmount USB Audio & MIDI Interface

 1 in stock $234.51
Cat: 554444 Rel: 09 Feb 15

Rackmountable USB audio/MIDI interface with ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) mic preamps
Notes: The TASCAM US-16x08 captures 16 mic and line inputs to your computer with clear sound quality and advanced features to manage big sessions. Eight Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps deliver the cleanest and quietest operation in their class while delivering up to 56dB of gain. An additional eight line inputs are provided, two of them switchable to instrument level for direct guitar or bass recording. Eight balanced line outputs are also available, two with a level control on the front panel for monitoring.

Built into the US-16x08 is a DSP Mixer for low-latency digital mixing. Each channel has four-band EQ and compression for polished-sounding monitor mixes. In addition to interface mode, the US-16x08 can be used stand alone as a standalone mic preamp. Mac and Windows drivers are provided, as well as USB Class Compliant 2.0 drivers for tablets like Apple's iPad. MIDI input and output are also available on the rear panel.

Whether using the ergonomically-designed angled desktop stand or mounting with the included rack ears, the US-16x08 includes analog I/O for almost any music recording application.

TASCAM's own Ultra-HDDA mic preamps are the cleanest, quietest, and best-sounding from any interface in their range. A gain range of 56dB makes them ideal for any type of mic - dynamic, condenser, or ribbon. With preamp performance well beyond any interfaces in their price range, the Ultra-HDDA preamps on the US-16x08 makes your tracks sound like a record.

TASCAM's Ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) mic preamp design is based on discrete components, just like classic professional gear. They achieve an incredible EIN rating of -125 dBu, meaning their noise level is practically below the range of hearing. Other impressive specs include a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB, out-speccing anything in its price range. But instead of judging the design merely by test measurments, key components were selected following extensive listening tests.

The first two channels can be switched to direct guitar inputs. They're ideal for direct recording of electric and acoustic guitar and bass without the need for a preamp. Use them with amp modeling software, like the TH2 effect included with SONAR X3. (Guitar effect plug-ins sold separately.)

The Ultra-HDDA mic preamps and line inputs offer 20dB of headroom for distortion-free recordings of percussive, high SPL instruments like drum tracks.

Eight XLR mic inputs and eight TRS inputs can be used simultaneously for 16-track live recordings. Capture every detail of live performances or rehearsals for later mixdown.

The eight XLR mic inputs have switchable +48V phantom power to use up to 8 condenser mics at the same time. The two front panel TRS line inputs are switchable between instrument level and line level input with adjustable gain. An additional six TRS line ins on the rear of the unit are switchable between -10dB and +4dB. All of the jacks support balanced or unbalanced 1/4" signals.

When powered on with out a USB connection, the US-16x08 functions as an 8-channel microphone preamp. Mics pass through the Ultra-HDDA preamps to the eight balanced line outputs on the rear panel. Use the interface to add additional high-quality mic inputs to a mixer an another audio interface.

Digital processing features like the DSP Monitor Mixer and advanced USB drivers make sessions with the US-16x08 comfortable for the musicians and engineer. The DSP Mixer includes processing for a polished-sounding headphone mix without latency delay from your DAW software, fueled by a Blackfin DSP processor. And new drivers, re-written from the ground up, provide beter compatibility and performance on Mac, Windows and iPad recording systems.

The converters and electronics on the US-16x08 allow you to record at audio resolutions up to 96kHz/24-bit for detailed acoustic productions. No matter what your session's sample rate is set for, the high-quality analog and digital design make your recordings sound their best.

The US-16x08 uses USB 2.0 to connect to your computer, found on nearly every computer manufactured in the last 10 years. Simply connect the interface to any available USB port. USB 2.0 provides plenty of data bandwidth, even when recording 16 channels at 96kHz/24-bit. The US-16x08 will also work with USB 3.0 jacks on your computer.

Powered by an Analog Devices BlackFin DSP processor, the US-16x08 includes an advanced digital mixer for monitor mixing. Each input includes 4-band EQ, a low-cut filer, and compressor. The DSP mixer can store up to 10 snapshots as scenes - making it easy to recall mixer settings. An additional tab opens a digital patchbay to route signals to any output.

Zoom TAC8 Thunderbolt Audio & MIDI Interface With Steinberg Cubase LE7 Software
 Add to cart
 1 in stock $519.75
Cat: 568704 Rel: 30 Mar 15

Rackmountable audio/MIDI recording interface with Thunderbolt connectivity, with 18 inputs and 20 outputs
Notes: The rack-montable TAC-8 audio interface is designed to act as the central hub in both professional and home environments. It provides 8 analog inputs and 10 analog outputs, as well as 10 digital inputs and ouputs (in both S/PDIF and ADAT Optical formats), plus Word Clock and MIDI I/O.

Wheter you want to record large multi-channel 24-bit/192k sessions in your studio without worrying about latency or you want to bring your onstage performance to new heights, the TAC-8 allows you to take advantage of today's latest technology.

With 8 analog inputs and additional digital options, the TAC-8 allows you to record what you want, when you want. Record drums, bass, guitar, and vocals all at once, or go big with a 8 mic drum setup: or anything inbetween. Thunderbolt speeds will ensure you won't have to deal with latency issues. The software mixer and output options let you customize your session to your needs.

The TAC-8 allows you to use your laptop onstage with high quality sound. Simply connect it to your computer with a Thunderbolt cable and then connect the rear panel TRS outputs to your mixing board or PA system. Whether you're a one-man band with an epic onstage rig or your TAC-8 + computer is the central hub for a band leveraging software effects and instruments, with 10 analog outs you can customize your rig to your needs.

Thunderbolt technology opens up new doors for audio engineers. With Thunderbolt, the TAC-8 provides 8 high-quality analog inputs, as well as up to 10 additional digital input options, at near-zero latency speeds. This gives creators of all kinds the best technology available in an easy to use interface, taking their work to new heights.

More than twice as fast as USB 3.0 - not to mention twenty times faster than USB 2.0 and twelve times faster than Firewire 800 - Thunderbolt is the interconnection technology of the future. Co-developed by Apple and Intel Labs, it allows signal to be transferred at an incredibly fast 10 gigabits-per-second, which means virtually no latency. Thunderbolt interfaces such as the TAC-8 are also unaffected by computer jitter (slight variations in timing).

The TAC-8 provides a wide variety of both analog and digital connectors. Eight front panel combo XLR/TRS inputs accept mic- and line-level signals. Inputs 1 and 2 can also accept instrument-level signal from guitars and basses. Dedicated input gain controls and Clip LED's make it easy to set optimum input levels, and the selectable multi-channel Phantom Power feature allows for the use of condenser microphones.

Dual balanced analog TRS output jacks enable you to connect the TAC-8 to amplifiers or self-powered speakers, and there are also 8 discrete balanced TRS analog line outputs for multichannel monitoring or connection to external effects devices.

A large front-panel Output knob offers fast control of main output level, and there are two independent 1/4" stereo headphone jacks, each with its own dedicated volume control for private monitoring.

ADAT and S/PDIF digital inputs/outputs allow for the use of up to 10 inputs from external interfaces as well as 10 outputs, providing a combined total of 18 inputs and 20 outputs through the TAC-8 device. Built-in Word Clock allows for syncing between devices, and MIDI In/Out allow electronic keyboards, sequencers, and drum machines to be connected through the TAC-8. Thunderbolt speeds ensure precise audio and MIDI sync.

In standalone mode, the TAC-8 can be used as an 8-channel mic preamp and analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog converter without being connected to a computer.

The TAC-8 performs 4-times upsampling during both analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion. In other words, when the sampling frequency is set to 44.1kHz or 48kHz, the TAC-8 processes the signal at high resolution 176.4kHz or 192kHz respectively. For A/D conversion, this means less aliasing noise; for D/A conversion, this means increased clarity and fidelity.

TAC-8 MixEfx is a free Macintosh application designed specially by Zoom for the TAC-8. It provides a comprehensive onscreen mixer, with independent level, phase reversal, and panning control for each channel. TAC-8 MixEfx also allows you to freely route all inputs to all outputs and to create custom mixes for each pair of outputs. In addition, a variety of reverb and echo effects can be used as a send/return effect. Complete mixes can then be stored in three different memory slots, allowing instant total recall.

Notes: "Hey, I've got an idea!" So you're hiking out in the middle of the woods. Maybe mountain climbing in the Himalayas with a Sherpa. Or you're on the tour bus at 3 am and can't sleep. And then...BOOM, an idea hits you. You stop everything, grab your guitar and your mic, plug them into your iRig Pro DUO, and then you plug it into your iPad. Or your Android. Or your computer.

You hit "Record," and that idea that was once just floating around in your head is a song that you can upload for all your fans and followers to hear.

iRig Pro DUO is made for this. It's made for you. Now you can truly go out and play and record anywhere, any time on any device with the smallest fully-featured dual-channel interface on the market.

To us, "truly mobile" means completely self contained... unhooked from the grid and free to create anytime and anywhere inspiration strikes you on any device.

iRig Pro DUO delivers true mobility in grand fashion. It packs a ton of useful recording features into an extremely compact enclosure that you can take with you anywhere.

First, it lets you go off the grid and record great audio anywhere thanks to its comprehensive powering options - for true mobility iRig Pro DUO can be powered with two AA batteries and does not draw any power from a connected iPhone or iPad. When using the included USB or Micro USB to OTG cable connected to a laptop or Android device, iRig Pro DUO can be powered by the attached device or onboard batteries. Back in the studio? iRig Pro DUO can be powered with an additional DC power supply for powering extended recording sessions.

Second, it has to sound great and accept every possible instrument and recording situation. iRig Pro DUO delivers high-quality 24-bit audio on the go or in the studio with plug-and-play simplicity. It features 2 channels with XLR/TRS combo audio jacks and phantom power that can accommodate everything from high-end condenser microphones to guitars, basses, keyboards and more. Its crystal-clear ultra-low noise high-headroom preamps ensure that you get professional grade sound everywhere you go.

Fully universal "all-platform" portable recording is finally here thanks to iRig Pro DUO. It comes with every cable you need to connect to your iPhone, iPad, Android device or Mac/PC -you get a Lightning, USB-OTG and USB cables so no matter where you are or what device you happen to have with you, capturing brilliance is always enabled. And, iRig Pro DUO comes bundled with tons of software and apps every platform to get you going.

iRig Pro DUO is the smallest full-featured dual-channel interface on the market. Its elegantly designed lightweight thermoplastic housing is designed to take the rigors of life on the road, session after session. We've designed it so that it's the perfect size - it fits easily into the palm of your hand and can fit in any backpack, gig bag or even your pocket.

But don't take iRig Pro DUO's size for granted. This is one seriously powerful and connectible interface. It features 2 channels with XLR/TRS combo audio jacks and phantom power that can accommodate everything from high-end phantom powered condenser microphones to guitars, basses, keyboards and more. Each channel has it's own input gain control so you can dial in the perfect amount of input signal for your recording.

Each of iRig Pro DUO's two channels passes through an ultra-low noise high-headroom pro-quality preamp that then runs through a 24bit AD-DA converter, giving you amazing clarity and pristine studio-quality sound.

With iRig Pro DUO, you don't just have a superb portable interface for audio; you can also hook up your favorite MIDI controllers. This is thanks to its included TRS to MIDI-DIN cables and dedicated MIDI in/out jacks, so you can control MIDI-compatible software (or send MIDI data to MIDI-compatible hardware, like synthesizers, drum machines and samplers) with plug and play simplicity. It just works.

High-quality studio condenser microphones require 48V of external power to function. It's part of what makes them sound so good, crisp and accurate. With iRig Pro DUO, you'll have that 48V of phantom power at your fingertips. Just plug in your high-quality condenser mic, flip iRig Pro DUO's phantom power switch and record until your heart's content.

Monitoring your mixes and input is a breeze. iRig Pro DUO comes with two 1/4" TRS balanced analog audio outputs that let you send a zero-latency signal to your studio monitors or portable speakers.

There's also a Direct Monitor switch that lets you monitor either the direct incoming dry signals, or the processed signal returning from your device or computer.

M Audio Super DAC Digital To Analog Converter & Headphone Amp

 1 in stock $103.12
Cat: 595125 Rel: 30 Nov 15

DAC & headphone amp with stereo RCA analog outputs and both coaxial and optical digital outputs
Notes: Super DAC is a USB digital to analog converter with stereo RCA analog outputs and both coaxial and optical digital outputs. With audiophile-grade Wolfson DAC/ADCs, the M-Audio Super DAC performs 24-bit/192kHz high-definition audio conversion over a USB 2.0 connection. This results in the highest possible audio quality, which is critical for users who want to connect their audio equipment to their computer but are not satisfied with the sound quality of the typical computer sound card or the compression limitations of a Bluetooth connection. Six sampling rates between 44.1 and 192kHz are user selectable so you can achieve the exact performance level needed for any given circumstance.

Super DAC has a built-in high quality headphone amplifier with both ¼-inch and 1/8-inch jacks, for connecting any headphones directly without the need for an adapter. It also features analog stereo RCA line outs and coaxial and optical digital output connections, so you can easily connect a wide array of external equipment. Since virtually all high-quality audio equipment has a digital input, Super DAC’s optical and coaxial digital outputs are perfect for driving that equipment with a pure digital signal—especially valuable since most computers do not have a digital output.

Super DAC is USB-bus-powered or can use an optional AC wall adapter (not included). The M-Audio Super DAC is the answer when you require reference-quality sound from your computer.

Zoom TAC8 Thunderbolt Audio & MIDI Interface With Steinberg Cubase LE7 Software (B-STOCK)
 Add to cart
 1 in stock $468.71
Cat: 612033 Rel: 09 May 16

***B-STOCK: Box opened, product unused***

Notes: ***B-STOCK: Box opened, product in perfect working order***

Ideal for singer songwriters and guitar players who want to record studio-quality music:
Scarlett Solo is our simplest and most compact interface. It's ideal for singer songwriters and guitar players looking for the easiest way to record studio-quality music onto Mac or PC. Take it anywhere, connect by USB, plug a mic and guitar straight in, and immediately start recording with the same sound quality as the rest of the latest Scarlett range.

Focusrite interfaces are perfect partners for Pro Tools, so Scarlett Solo comes with Pro Tools | First - Focusrite Creative pack in the box, as well as Ableton Live Lite recording software and a suite of software and samples, so you can start recording straight away. As you'd expect, it works flawlessly with all major DAWs on Windows and Mac.

Sound Like You:
Easily make recordings that sound exactly like you. Connect your microphone to our natural sounding Scarlett preamp, and plug your guitar straight into a newly designed input, both of which capture studio-quality audio that sounds just the way you intended. 48V phantom power means you can use any mic you want.

Record Guitar and Vocals Simultaneously:
Record your guitar and vocals at the same time, onto separate tracks. If one doesn't sound right, you won't have to re-record both. You can also apply separate effects: amp simulation to your guitar, for example, and reverb on your vocal.

Effects in Real Time:
Super-low latency lets you enhance your recordings in ways that are simply impossible with any other interface in this class, like enabling real-time guitar amp simulation and vocal reverb (subject to your software, settings and computer).

Start Recording Today:
Compose, record, edit, save and export your music straight away, with time-unlimited versions of industry-standard music software: Ableton Live Lite and Pro Tools | First - Focusrite Creative Pack, which features 12 additional plug-ins including the Eleven Lite for real life guitar amp emulations and Black Op for iconic distortions and overdrives.
You also get Softube's Time and Tone bundle, the Focusrite Red Plug-In Suite, Novation's Bass Station Virtual synthesiser and 2GB of Loopmasters samples.
All the software is simple enough for beginners, yet sophisticated enough for advanced users.

Record Absolutely Anywhere:
Never miss another moment of inspiration. Capture ideas at a friend's house, or record your next open mic night: Scarlett Solo is tiny and tough enough to take anywhere - but sounds just like our biggest Scarlett interfaces. You don't need a power supply, either - just connect with a USB cable and start recording.

Designed for the Guitarist:
No matter how loud you play, or how hot your pick-ups, the newly-designed instrument input can handle it. You'll be free to play without the worry of unwanted distortion.

New Generation - Better In Every Way:
The latest generation Scarlett Solo is packed full of upgrades. It operates at sample rates all the way up to 192kHz with new super-low latency* that lets you record and monitor with software effects in real time.
We completely redesigned the instrument input so it can handle even the hottest guitar pick-ups, and we've made it easier than ever to set your levels accurately. We've also built in new analogue protection circuitry across the inputs and the outputs, to guard your interface against unwanted power surges.

Crisp and Clear Conversion:
Converting your performance into digital audio and back again is the most important part of the recording process. We've been making class-leading converters for over 20 years, and Scarlett Solo has the best converters of any interface in its class.
You can really hear the difference! Every part of your recording will be beautifully crisp and clear, even when you're playing softly. This means you can amplify your quieter moments without any unwanted hiss or buzzing.
