Progressive House Recommendations Best Of 2010

Review: Bedrock hero John Digweed drops his obligatory annual mix CD with Structures demonstrating the long running imprint is stretching its toes into waters beyond the progressive genre. Across two CDs and 33 tracks that focus on the multiplicity of Bedrock artistes, Digweed starts the first disc with some deep house moments courtesy of Alex Dolby and Santos and gradually works towards a more progressive sound characterised by Maher Daniel's remix work. Quiver's "Boom Boom" marks the onset of a strong finish to the disc. Disc Two kicks off the tech skank of Nick Warren's "In Search of Silver" and veers through the cosmic vibes of Guy J and Marc Marzenit before toughening up the groove via Digweed's own remix of Marco Bailey's "Jungle Laps" - watch out for the drum rolls on this! Things get more rowdy from then for a superlative second disc. This release is made all the more special by the bonus DVD curated by Uruguayan director Pablo Casacuberta.
