Eelke Kleijn's 2011 Favourites

With the Dutch once again ruling the world with dance music, Rotterdam’s very own studio marksman Eelke Kleijn is backing up his own stake as one of highly talented stars emerging from The Netherlands right now with another sonically gifted EP direct from his own imprint, Outside The Box Music.

A swirling anthem-top-heavy synth laden release, ‘Levensgenieter’ (or in English ‘sybarite’; a person self-indulgent in their fondness for sensuous luxury), places Eelke at his unified best; deep, grooving and exquisitely executed. Through harvesting his love of deepness with a luxury of rhythm Eelke has created an idyllic escape for any dancefloor gathering.

With the b-side ‘Flierefluiter’, Eelke peels back the edges of his recent darker sounds to reveal a downtime flow that has a distinct techno crunch which, with its deliciously warm melody line, possess all the energy necessary for that perfect dusk-to-dawn crowd pleaser.
