Review: 'The Montreux Years' was a period of time in which legendary American singer, songwriter and pianist Dr. John - who blended blues, jazz, funk, rock and roll and New Orleans music - held wide renown as a staple of the Swiss Montreux Jazz Festival for a solid two-decade juncture, between 1973 and 1995. This album captures his tenure at the festival over the years, and features live recordings from his performances, as well as two previously unreleased tracks. Both a celebration of the work of Dr. John and the European jazz festival, it's certainly not one to be missed.

Review: The long lost 1968 debut album by singer-songwriter Scott Fagan, South Atlantic Blues, comes reissued for the first time in its original artwork, with an iconic portrait of Fagan by famed rock photographer Joel Brodsky, following a widely celebrated 2015 release. Revisiting his mystical, mythical, and deeply soulful masterpiece, this psych-folk gem doffs a Tropicalia hat direct from downtown New York. Fagan's story is worthy of a movie in itself. Review: Robert Finley returns for a new album of his distinctive Louisiana blues style. Having devoted himself to music more fully after losing his sight at 60 and now boasting an incredible catalogue of albums behind him, Finley's recent life story is a marvel in itself, but as Black Bayou proves his tales only deepen the further back you go. Drawing on early memories such as the nerve-racking story 'Alligator Bait', Finley lays down one of his most direct albums to date. It was written and recorded in situ at Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound Studio in Nashville, and it captures the raw honesty of music made in the moment, from the heart, with a dirty Southern crunch to the production you'll never tire of.

Review: The Firm was a UK supergroup that formed in 1984. Singer Paul Rodgers was the man responsible for getting together with guitarist Jimmy Page and the group became one of the most successful rock outfits of their era. They released a brace of brilliant albums - the self-titled debut in 1985, then a year later Mean Business - and played across the UK and US in the years after. One of the best shows they did was at the Oakland Coliseum on 15th March. Their extraordinary energy and fine set list was recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast and now you can listen back to the whole thing on vinyl for the first time ever.
