20 Years Of Freerange Part 4
 Add to cart
 in stock $8.37
  1. Milton Jackson - "Songs Without Words" (6:23)
  2. Kito Jempere - "Finland Express" (feat Noteless) (7:25)
  3. Pittsburgh Track Authority - "Oculus Sinister" (6:47)
  4. Kuniyuki - "A Night In SA" (7:45)
Review: The Freerange label ain't messing about; this fourth chapter of their 20th anniversary release is just as on-point as the previous three releases, and no less of a body mover. "Songs Without Words" by Milton Jackson is one of those house anthems you imagine looking out into the night sea on a warm summer night, full of beautiful chords and a thick pulse of a beat; Kito Jempere comes through with a similarly breezy tech-house tool on "Finland Express". On the B-side, the great Pittsburgh Track Authority speeds up the pace with the shuffling, intergalactic groove of "Oculus Sinister", and "A Night In SA" by Kuniyuki offers something a little different, a smoother, more jazzy construction with a broken beat feel that fits mighty well with us.

  1. Now's Tomorrow
  2. Feel Good
  3. Exclamation
Review: One of the tracks that helped accelerate Pittsburgh Track Authority to their current position under the spotlight, "Now's Tomorrow" first came our way as a cheeky freebie. Now delivered via hand numbered vinyl, the loopy soul is just as infectious as it was last year. "Feel Good" lives up to its name neatly thanks a thumping bassline and short, sharp vocal stabs. "Exclamation" completes the set with a cap doff to techno's north west American tendrils, all acid bubbles and hypnotising warped pads. If PTA aren't already on your radar, now is definitely the time!

Review: Finale Sessions is pround to bring you another fine release with none other them Pittsburgh Track Authority they have been heating things up at the moment and we are great full to have them on label and this release is a gem for sure and we start with the first cut called "Missile 2" It is my favorite of the ep for sure with its rolling drums and its acid based textures a must have peak time jam then we have " Cara Cara" no holds bar jam with a no holds bar approach to drums and rhythm a must have for the later times of the night . Then we have " Wrap Game" this track is a dancefloor killer for sure with its massive pads and intense synth work one of my favorites on Finale Sessions to date and we dont want to forget the drums of coarse with its hipnotic rhythm . Then last but not least we have " Chromed" the first thing you notice about this track is the drums and its crazy rhythm most definetly a techno killer for sure it has massive sound to it for sure and it is not to be ignored with its deep synths and wicked key work a must have for you record collection ..I want to thank you for your support on Finale Sessions and I personally want to thank you and I love you ...

Review: In three years of operation the power-house trio Pittsburgh Track Authority have hammered out a staggering amount of high-end material, focusing on outboard methods and a classic approach to house and techno that punches hard without losing the soul. Now they present their debut album, and it delivers on all the fronts you would hope for. There's a Detroit-friendly pressure to their production style, whether dropping the sample-licking heat of "Broader Disco" or whipping up a dubby synth icing on top of snaking techno opener "Genta", but they never put a put wrong. For instant satisfaction without a compromise on ideas, you can do far worse than these eight fine sounding cuts.
